Fresh Toast was founded in 2025 by Garrett McGee, a Tucson native. Although new to the food scene, a love for fresh, homemade food was instilled early by his late father, Mike “Chef Mike” McGee, a French-trained chef, who humbly served Southern Arizonans for nearly 40 years.

Cooking and baking was always a hobby of Garrett’s, but with inspiration from his childhood breakfast recipes from Chef Mike and from his partner, Chanel Craig, he left his 10-year career in Washington, DC to bring the Valley fresh, homemade French toast, bread pudding muffins, hearty breads, and simple, tasty sandwiches.

Fresh Toast prides itself in baking bread daily, stirring up homemade sauces, and whipping up a fresh meal.
